    • Dimensity 8400 Ultra
      • Xiaomi Poco X7 Pro (Xiaomi Rodin)
      • Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 4 (24129RT7CC)

On the devices above, the following procedures are now available: Factory Reset, Remove FRP, Get Info, Backup/Restore, Firmware Update.

We’ve created a step-by-step tutorial video to help you get started quickly. You can watch it here: .

Note: Availability may vary by firmware/security patch level. We’ll continue to refine performance and extend the support.

MTK UFS RPMB Region Support

We’ve expanded our MTK capabilities with full support for UFS RPMB regions. Chimera can now detect and manage multiple RPMB partitions (0–3), and these regions can now be saved and restored securely, ensuring reliable data handling across a wider range of devices.

MTK DA Chooser

We’ve introduced a new chooser feature that lets users load and use their own DA files. This makes device connections faster and more flexible, especially when working with dozens or even hundreds of the same model one after another.

MTK Flash - File Selector Filters

We refined the filtering options in the MTK flash interface, making it easier and faster for you to find the relevant files when flashing your devices.

MTK Flash - Region Dependant Super Partition

We discovered that in certain cases our MTK flash procedure could fail when flashing the super partition. We identified the root cause, fixed the issue, and now the flash procedure works reliably.

Bypass IT Admin Lock — New Method

We’ve updated our procedure for IT Admin Lock bypass. This new method improves reliability while preserving user data and keeping Play Store functionality intact, so you can unlock devices without affecting the user experience. The procedure is available in ADB mode.

EUB Network Factory Reset — CHA Carrier Added

Our EUB Network Factory Reset procedure has been extended to support the CHA carrier, broadening network reset coverage.

Chimera USB Log View

We’ve added a brand-new UI feature that allows you to easily keep track of all your attached devices, giving you a clear overview of connections right inside Chimera.

So, what do you think? We’d love to hear your feedback — join the conversation on our forums or in our Telegram channel!

Set Active Slot Procedure

We have introduced a brand new A/B slot switching procedure for Qualcomm devices! This feature is especially useful on devices where fastboot mode is not available. With A/B (seamless) system updates, your phone uses two system partitions (slot A and slot B). Our new procedure lets you safely switch between these slots, helping you recover devices or continue work even if one slot becomes unusable.

We're excited to announce a new, world-first solution — Chimera now supports most Oppo Qualcomm devices released since 2014 in EDL mode. This means hundreds of new supported models and a major improvement for Oppo service professionals.

Until now, Oppo Qualcomm devices required authentication to use their programmers, meaning you had to depend on online-only solutions. We’ve eliminated that limitation — from now on, you can perform all key operations offline with your Chimera licence.

Many users have requested Oppo Qualcomm support for a long time, and now it’s here.

Supported procedures:

We’ve already tested a wide range of Oppo Qualcomm devices, but we know there are many more out there. Consider this a small challenge — try the new solution with other models, and if you find additional devices that work, let us know on any of our forums. Please include your Work ID when sharing your results so we can verify and add them to our supported list.

Technical Notes & Tips

  • Phone connection: On some models, you need to keep the buttons pressed until the “Reconnect Battery” dialog appears to ensure a successful EDL connection.
  • Oppo DL Mode: When a Qualcomm-based Oppo device is connected to Chimera, the system automatically starts the identification procedure. In most cases, detection completes successfully if you press and hold both Volume and Power buttons during the initial connection.

Special case – Oppo DL Mode: Some models may only enter a special “Oppo DL Mode” using this method. If that happens, follow these steps to manually access Recovery Mode:
    1. Press and hold the Volume Down button while the phone is booting.
    2. Once in Recovery Mode, select your language.
    3. Tap multiple times on the “Version” indicator.
    4. A hidden dialog will appear — from there, enter Download (EDL) Mode.
On certain rare models, neither button combinations nor Recovery Mode will switch the device into the correct EDL Mode. In such cases, you’ll need to use hardware Test Points to establish the EDL connection manually.
  • AntiRollback warning: In some cases, after servicing or performing a firmware update, the phone may no longer connect in EDL mode. This can happen if the new firmware increases the AntiRollback version, making the previously compatible programmer unusable for the updated device.
  • Android 15 compatibility: The solution also works after upgrading to Android 15 on OnePlus 11, OnePlus Open, and Oppo N3.

Stay tuned — we’ll be back tomorrow with the next wave of our world-first update!

Update Week – Day 3

You may have already guessed it. Our third update focuses on Realme. With this release, we are adding support for a large number of Realme Qualcomm devices that no other tool has been able to service in EDL mode before.

These models normally require authenticated programmers, which means traditional tools can only handle them through online verification. With Chimera, this limitation does not apply. You can service all supported Realme Qualcomm devices fully offline using your existing Chimera licence.

Many users have been asking for Realme Qualcomm support, and we are happy to deliver it as the next milestone of our Update Week series.
